Gainesville 2, Bull Run, 2
 
Gainesville opened its season yesterday against Bull Run. The Lady Hawks showed up looking to upset the defending champions, and almost succeeded. The defending champs, were up by one goal after the first half, but the Hawks came out strong in the second half with Sami Gordon scoring in the fist 5 minutes of a break-away. Bull Run, wanting to reestablish the lead, scored again. Late in the second half,  The Hawks earned their second goal off Kathleen Brumigim's corner kick, making the game 2 all. 
 
Overtime consists of two 5 minute halves in middle school soccer, and while the Hawks scored a third goal in the last seconds of the second half, the ref called it back due to keeper interference.

Where: Mr Woodie's room.

What you need: CLEAN uniform in a plastic bag with your number on the outside. You cannot attend without a clean uniform.

The Manassas Park game for today has been postponed until tomorrow because of potential thunder storms. This means we have three games in a row to finish the season.
